CURENT's Diversity and Inclusion Workshop will be held May 14-15, 2018 in Knoxville, TN.
Agenda
The goals of the workshop are to better define and share the inclusive values of the center, and to investigate barriers and to pursue improvement. Please read CURENT Inclusion Strategic Plan prior to the workshop.
The workshop is May 14-15, 2018 - full day Monday, half day Tuesday - with a focus on center-wide inclusivity practices. Ms. Pat Pope of Pope consulting will be the Keynote Speaker on Monday. Along with the speaker, there will be interactive activities on both days.

Additional Details
Location: The University of Tennessee Conference Center. Located at 600 Henley Street, 4th Floor, Knoxville, TN 37902.
Dates: May 14-15, 2018 - full day Monday, half day Tuesday, with a focus is on center-wide inclusivity practices
Times: The workshop starts at 8 am sharp on both days. Breakfast starts at 7 am on both days. Be in your seat by 7:58 am. Be prompt and make time for breakfast. Arriving after 8 am is NOT acceptable.
Meals: Breakfast will be provided on Monday and Tuesday. Lunch and dinner will be provided on Monday. The dinner is at the Foundry (747 Worlds Fair Park Dr., Knoxville, TN 37902), which is easy walking distance from the conference center, Min Kao Building and Four Points Sheraton. Everyone is strongly encouraged to attend the dinner. If you can not attend the dinner, please let Wendy know by 3 pm today, Friday, May 11. There will be morning and afternoon breaks with snacks during the workshop.
Vegans & Vegetarians: If you have said you are a vegan or vegetarian, there will be a card in your name badge with the Foundry logo on it. Please present this card to the server at the Foundry and you will be brought a vegan or vegetarian dinner.
Name Badges: There will be a registration table at the conference center. You will pick up your name badge there. Your name badge will have an orange sticker with a number on it. This is your table number for the workshop. Your badge might also have a yellow sticker with an A or a B on it, This is your table designation for lunch. If you do not have a yellow sticker on your badge, you may sit at any table, except A or B, at lunch.
Other: Dress is business casual.
Seating will be assigned by table number for the meeting. Your name badge will have a numbered sticker on it to designate your workshop table.
No laptops should be in use during the workshop and cell phones are only to be used during breaks and lunch. No cellphones should be in use during the workshop.
A block of rooms is being held at Four Points Sheraton, located at 1109 White Avenue in Knoxville, TN, 37916. The hotel is approximately two blocks from the Conference Center. Judy Evans has arranged rooms for everyone that is coming from out of town. If you are coming from out of town and have decided not to attend, please contact Judy immediately.
