Best Practices in Presentations - SLC Seminar, Friday, January, 19th
OIT will present Best Practices in Presentations on Friday, January 19th as part of the SLC Seminar series. The Best Practices for Presentations seminar will provide you with tips and tools to design visually-appealing presentations to take to conferences, seminars, or job talks. In this seminar, OIT instructional consults Rachael Stanley and Jaewoo Do discuss how to set up and organize your slides, how to incorporate best ways to use images and font, and for assessing how well your presentation went. This presentation will focus on PowerPoint and Google Slides.

About the presenters:
Rachael Stanley has worked in higher education for more than 20 years. She has taught classes, workshops, and given numerous presentations. She has a master’s degree in English Literature and currently works as an Instructional Technology Specialist, helping instructors incorporate technology into their classes.
Jaewoo Do is a graduate teaching assistant in Office of Information Technology. He is a doctoral candidate in the Learning Environment and Educational Studies program at the UTK. He has designed both face-to-face and online courses, educational materials, and education systems as an instructional designer and an educational consultant.
