Congratulations to Maryam Hassani Variani
Maryam H. Variani, a PhD student in CURENT UTK under Professor Kevin Tomsovic, completed her PhD defense on Nov. 3rd. The title of her dissertation is "Flatness-Based Control Methodologies to Improve Frequency Regulation in Power Systems with High Penetration of Wind." Maryham received both her BS degree and her MS degree from Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran, Iran. Dr. Variani is currently interviewing for an industry position.
