CURENT Seminar Series Kicks Off

CURENT's newly-launched Industry Seminar Series kicks off today in the Min H. Kao Building. The inaugural guest speaker, Dr. Aleksandar Dimitrovski, is the Power & Energy Systems Group Leader at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Dimitrovski will be presenting on the integration of magnetic amplifiers in power systems research.
The Seminar Series invites industry leaders and academic experts to the Center to participate in active discussions related to improving the nation's power grid. The series is also a resource for CURENT students and faculty to look more in depth on presented topics.
The series will be webcast live, and will generally be held on the last Friday of each month (when possible). Upcoming seminars include the following:

- Nov. 22, 2013; 12:20-1:10 p.m. (ET) - Vikas Singvhi, Senior Engineer, Electric Power Research Institute
