Center for Ultra-wide-area Resilient Electric Energy Transmission Networks
Dr. Yilu Liu, Emmanuel Taylor and Gilbert Bindewald Participate in NSF Workshop
Emmanuel Taylor and Gilbert Bindewald coordinated a workshop with the National Science Foundation (NSF), titled "Risk and Resiliency of the Power Grid." The goal of the workshop was to expose participants to issues related to the electric grid, that may be addressed in the future through advanced mathematics. Dr. Yilu Liu presented her work on how wide-area monitoring holds the key to improve power grid risk and resilience. The workshop took place during the NSF conference on Algorithms for Threat Detection on July 13 - 15 at the NSF in Arlington, VA.
